Port of Aliaga (TRALI)

Consisting mainly of oil product terminals and refineries, the port of Aliaga is counted among the largest Sea ports that is situated along the southern shores of the Aliaga Bay. It’s approximately 24 kilometers to the northwest of Izmir, Turkey. The port has the capacity to accommodate a number of vessels that have a maximum length of 338 meters with a draft of 16 meters and 250 thousand DWT. The Total Terminal within the port handles clean petroleum products.

Dardanelles Strait (TRCKZ)

Operating with the brand name of Clias, the Port of Canakkale in the Dardanelles Strait provides services that include waste reception, bunkering, ship management services, and bunkering. It was established in 2005 and handles cargo of almost all types like bulk, general cargo, liquid, container, chemical, Ro-Ro, and it also handles cruise operations. The port also offers a covered warehouse area of 3,000 m2.

Eregli (TRERE) Eregli Port Authority

Situated in the Karadeniz Eregil district of the province of Zonguldak, the Port of Erdemir or Karadeniz Eregli Limani is in the Black Sea. It’s owned by the Turkish State Coal Mining Co., and it includes military facilities too. It’s a dry harbor where the number of berths available is 4 and the piers available are 2. The harbor is meant for 60,000 long tons of DWT.

Port of Gemlik

Gemport started operations in 1987 under the initiative of the Gemlik Municipality along with a group of industrialists and businessmen based out of Bursa. It started providing port services from 1992. It forms Southern Marmara’s gateway to the world. The services it provides are container services, vehicle/Ro-Ro services, general cargo, ship services, and more.

Port of Istanbul (TRIST)

Located at the Karakoy neighborhood of the Beyoglu district in Istanbul, the Port of Istanbul is a well-known passenger terminal meant for cruise liners. It has three passenger halls with two each covering an area of 43,000 sq. ft. and the other covering an area of 8,600 sq. ft. It’s been reconstructed and is now called the Galata Port which has a coastline that’s 1200 meters long.

Port of Izmir (TRIZM)

Located at the head of the Izmir Bay at a distance of 330 km. from Istanbul, the Port of Izmir is a port that’s sheltered naturally. It handles various kinds of cargo which include dry and liquid bulk, breakbulk, Ro-Ro, and containers too. The port also has a passenger terminal that docks cruise vessels and ferries. Port of Mersin (TRMER)

The Port of Mersin happens to be the largest in the country. That’s because the port is very close to major international markets in the Middle East, North Africa, Mediterranean, Europe, the Central Asian Republics as well as North America and the Far East. It’s connected to more than 100 international ports and therefore it plays a vital role in the trade and economy of southern and southeastern Turkey. It’s just 70 km. from Adana Airport.

Port of Alanya (TRALA)

Alanya lies on sea routes that connect Greece, Israel, Egypt, Syria, Cyprus, and Lebanon. This port is meant only for cruise ships and also serves the Kyrenia-Alanya fast ferries. The port is operated by ALIDAS which is a member of MedCruise. The port is at a distance of only 42 km. from Alanya Gazipasa Airport and 125 km. from the Antalya International Airport. Alanya happens to be an exotic tourist resort.

Port of Bandirma (TRBDM)

One of the main seaports of TCDD, the Port of Bandirma sees a lot of cargo movement. The harbor is a transit point for trading activities connecting Izmir and Istanbul. A ferryboat service also connects the Port of Bandirma to Tekirdag. The port handles Ro-Ro, containers and bulk cargo too. The port is vital to the economy of the city of Bandirma.

Port of Finike (TRFIN)

A small town in Turkey, Finike has residents largely engaged in agricultural activities. More than a port, Finike is a major tourist attraction with many ancient monuments. The port is a favorite with yachtsmen who anchor here during the winters. An ancient port, Phoenicia used to exist at the location where Finike is today. With the industry not being very well developed here, the Finike Port is only a port of call for vessels.
