The port has an average depth of 13 meters with 40 hectares of port area & 8 multipurpose warehouses.

Port of Barranquilla

Barranquilla is the 4th largest city of the country. The port is a river port. Located 22 km from the mouth of the river Magdalena at the Caribbean coast of Colombia, the port is an important loading/unloading point for different types of cargo like bulk, cranes, containers, tanks, etc.

Port of Cartagena

Located strategically in the Caribbean Sea, the Port of Cartagena is rated as being among the best in the entire Latin American continent. The port enjoys connection to more than 750 ports across 140 countries of the world. With a dock depth of close to 20 meters, the port has the capacity to handle more than 2 million TEUs annually. The yard area is over 25 hectares. The port has 81 trucks for internal cargo transportation.

Covenas calls itself “a partner you can trust.” The dedicated maritime agency provides various vessels (liners, tanks, tramp, etc.) in Colombian ports. Port of Mamonal

The Port of Mamonal is a private port for public usage. Equipped with the latest technology, the port is a multiple-use one, handling bulk cargo ships, oversized cargo, general cargo, heavy cargo, etc. There is a dedicated 240,000 sq mt storage area at the port, consisting of both open-air & warehouse storage space. The dock platform measures 34,000 sq mt.

Terminal Maritimo Muelles El Bosque

This is another of the smaller ports of Colombia, handling general cargo. It is a coastal natural harbor with water depth between 11 & 12 meters. Both fixed and mobile crane services are available. Moderate ship repair services are also done here.

Port of Pozos Colorados

The Port of Pozos is a small Colombian port. The Empresa Colombia de Petroleos operates this port. The maximum draft is close to 14 meters. The port is primarily used to discharge petroleum products into the storage tanks onshore. From there, the petroleum is pumped on to a refinery load.

Puerto Bolivar

This is among the largest global ports for the shipment of bananas. The maximum of the outbound cargo is meant for Europe. Ecuador ships almost 80% of its banana export through this port. Puerto Bolivar is also the largest port of Colombia. It is the largest coal export port of the continent.

Port of Santa Marta

Port of Tumaco

The port offers berthing facilities for dry and liquid bulk and general cargo. It also has an offshore terminal for exporting crude oil. The port is located on the Pacific coast, close to the border with Ecuador. It offers a dwt of up to 21000 and a tidal draft of up to 6.5 meters.

Port of Turbo
